How do I repot (transplant) a plant into Ivy?

Last updated on Dec 29, 2025

Repotting your plant into Ivy is simple. Just follow these steps:

  1. Remove the plant from its nursery pot
Gently tap around the pot to loosen the soil, then slide the plant out while keeping the root ball intact.
  2. Tidy the roots
Lightly loosen the outer soil and roots if needed, but try to keep the root ball mostly complete.
  3. Place the plant into Ivy
Put the plant (with or without its original pot) into Ivy’s inner chamber, and adjust the height and orientation so it sits comfortably.
  4. Fill and secure
Add soil to fill any gaps, then lightly firm the soil to stabilize the plant. Avoid pressing too hard or over-compacting.
